My name is Mrs. Dawn Meyer and I have been teaching since my graduation from Loyola University in 1987. I have taught at the Day School, A private therapeutic school, Myra Bradwell, A CPS School and since 2010, I have been here at Mariano Azuela. Along the way, I have had seven wonderful children, 4 boys and 3 girls; obtained my middle school endorsements in math and science, as well as my ESL endorsement. I was also fortunate enough to be selected as a staff member to accompany our traveling scholars to the country of Chile. While here at Azuela I have taught diverse learners in the inclusion program, 5th grade, 4th grade, and now 6th grade science.
My name is Tamika Bradford. I was born in Port-au-Prince, Haiti and raised on the South Side of Chicago.
I received my Bachelor’s degree from DePaul University in Elementary Education and Master’s from Loyola University in Curriculum and Instruction. I’ve been teaching for 15 years.
I have one son and two dogs. My family and I love visits to the park, swimming and traveling. Our goal is to visit every state in the US at least once. During my free time I like to read a book and catch a movie.
