Hey im Kayla Jones and im here to tell you about this very special poetry festival that I went to. What im going to do is tell you about the sad times fun times and also funny times. So come along with me and read my critique.

Im going to start with the sad times. The sad time for me is when the boys and the girl did the ten toes down challenge. I really liked this part because they were talking about real things that happend to them. The first one that raped he raped really fast but I liked it. The second boy who raped he messed up but the crowd didnt let him down and we cheered him up to redo it and it came to a point where he wasnt scared anymore and he went full out with his poem and it was great. The last poem was fantastic because the girl with one arm she wasnt afriad to express herself and show who she really is so I loved it. One of the fun times was when the three girls was talking about black lives matter and pick up your book and stay in school. And the last thing is a funny time the funny time was when the girl was saying her poem in spanish and in english but we really didnt understand what she was saying.

Conclusion, The Takeaway:

After all the sad, funny, and fun times overall this festival was great to be at to releve something off your mind and just be you be yourself and dont let anyone tell you differnt.

  1. -Good use of details in your CRITIQUE paragraph.
-Try to go for a more creative title.
-Use spell-check and proofread your work. For example, “im” should be “I’m.” “Rapped” has two p’s.
-Why do you think the girl read her poem in two languages? What made it funny for you?
-In your CONCLUSION, you use appropriate commas, but these are missing in your INTRODUCTION.
